Jeff Strobel is the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Arch Coal, Inc., one of the world’s leading coal mining companies. He is responsible for the full life cycle of Arch’s mergers & acquisitions, as well as joint ventures, cooperative ventures and divestitures. He is also responsible for Arch’s coal technology developments. Prior to joining Arch, Jeff was an investment banker with Wells Fargo Securities, Wachovia Capital Markets and AG Edwards Capital Markets, focusing on energy, power, oil & gas and renewables. He served as a US Navy officer, with duty as a Naval Flight Officer flying F-14 Tomcat fighters, as well as with forward-deployed commands in Asia-Pacific, the US and Europe.
Jeff earned an MBA with concentrations in Finance and International Business from Columbia Business School, and a BBA in Industrial Management from Kent State University. Jeff’s wife Linda is also active with LuMind as a Research Ambassador. Jeff and Linda have 2 children. Their older daughter Grace has Down syndrome and is attending school and working part-time at a pre-school. Their younger daughter Lainie is a student at the University of Alabama.
