Michelle Petronio

Michelle brings 20 years of strategic fundraising experience with non-profit organizations to LuMind IDSC. Most recently, she led a comprehensive fundraising effort as the Development Director at Agassiz Village.

As a consultant, she worked with nonprofits seeking to advance major health, education, and social service objectives planning and executing major capital campaigns, creating major donor programs, developing boards, diversifying philanthropic support and building effective partnerships. Michelle was the campaign manager of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF $100 million campaign to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus worldwide – securing $50 million in year one. She led a cross-sector partnership among business, education, community and social service leaders in Charlotte, NC to build consensus and take on a major literacy initiative. Michelle developed a major gift pilot program for the Leukemia Society of America presented at their Annual Leadership Conference. She has experience with a national youth organization with regional chapters, the American Red Cross, Southeastern PA chapter, and the Friends of the American Red Cross, a 200 member group of young professionals.

Michelle received her Master of Law and Social Policy and Master of Social Services – Planning and Development from Bryn Mawr College, and B.A. with magna cum laude distinction from the Psychology Honors Program at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Before starting a family, Michelle spent a great deal of time traveling in eastern and western Europe and lived in Mombasa, Kenya. Today, Michelle lives in Sudbury, MA with her adrenaline-junkie husband, Tony, and three very active teenage daughters, Lauren, Lexi and Ella. When Michelle is not cheering them on at soccer games and ski races, you can find her and her family enjoying the great outdoors in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
