The team at the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) has been closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation around Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) with great concern for our community. As an organization dedicated to supporting all individuals with Down syndrome, we are particularly worried about the impact this pandemic will have on our loved ones who already face significant health challenges. Your health and safety are our highest priority, and we are committed to doing what we can to keep everyone safe.
For this reason, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 NDSS Adult Summit scheduled for May 7-9 in Scottsdale, AZ. We are currently working on plans to create virtual opportunities for you to learn from our wonderful speakers. We will be in touch in the coming weeks with details about our virtual schedule and how to join the sessions. We will also communicate as soon as a new date for an in-person Adult Summit has been set.
Please join LuMind IDSC at the 2020 NDSS Down Syndrome Adult Summit in Phoenix, AZ, May 7th – May 9th, 2020. The summit will be hosted at The Phoenician, Luxury Collection Resort.
The 2020 NDSS Down Syndrome Adult Summit is open to all individuals who play any role in the life of individuals with Down syndrome with a specific focus on caregivers, family members, professionals, and individuals with Down syndrome.
The 3rd NDSS Adult Summit will cover important and critical topics for all adults with Down syndrome and ID/DD. Speakers and topics will align with NDSS’ robust, comprehensive programs and pillars – including healthcare & research, inclusive education, community integration, economic self-sufficiency, aging-related health issues, employment and the NDSS #DSWORKS® Campaign.
