Senior Director of Finance
Michael has been a consultant to early stage companies, assisting with financial management and venture fund raising. He has a passion for introducing new technology and streamlined processes that enable an organization’s infrastructure to support high growth.
As a consultant for Harvard University he designed and implemented a comprehensive metrics reporting system to assess the effectiveness of 14 separate development teams raising over $500,000,000 annually. In 1998, Mr. Lee co-founded and was CFO for ConsumerREVIEW.com, an early Internet innovator in the online community field. As a consultant with Symmetrix and Bronner Slosberg Humphrey (now Digitas), he led a range of analytical and operations projects for firms in the financial services, insurance, and publishing industries. Earlier in his career he was in finance and systems development at Oracle Corporation.
Mr. Lee earned a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in 1992. He also received a B.S. in Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley (College of Engineering). Michael, with his wife Betsy, live in Sherborn and have one daughter who is in her junior year at the University of Richmond. Michael served two terms on School Committee for the Dover-Sherborn Regional District and is an active member of Wellesley “Village” Congregational Church where he serves on the Stewardship Committee. He also supports the non-profit sector in Boston by participating in pro bono consulting projects with fellow HBS alumni. What energy he has left is spent trying to exercise his dog Brady sufficiently that he can be calm at night. While Brady has the good looks and ego of TB12, his personality is closer to Gronk.
